Rosle Can Opener

One of my favorite brands of kitchen tools has got to be Rosle and the Rosle can opener is no doubt in the category of must have. This sleek looking opener is about 8 inches in length so it fits perfectly in any drawer or storage place. Like many of the updated version of hand cranked can openers the Rosle can opener was designed with safety and hygiene in mind for the user. The ancient can openers used to cut down and into the lid which would cause jagged and sharp edges would would cause cuts. Even more worse the lid would fall into whatever was inside that can so you’d have to pry it out with your finger or by using a fork or other instrument. This baby cuts a smooth line into the side of the can which ensures that there are no crazy sharp edges and keeps the lid of the can where it’s supposed to be – out of the contents of the can.

Another thing to note about the Rosle can opener is that because it cuts along the side of the can, the tip of the blade does not touch the contents within the can. No more greasy, “gunk” within your opener anymore.

Made of stainless steel, as all Rosle products are, the head of the Rosle can opener is made of tough, quality plastic. The handle is rounded and you won’t have to worry about leaving finger prints or hand marks on the handle because it has a light satin finish. One of the things I like about this can opener is that it has a loop at the end of the handle so you can hang it up on a hook or peg on your kitchen wall. I have personally never been a big fan of putting too much things in my kitchen drawers so that is a plus in my book.

Overall the Rosle can opener is a very tough, sturdy, well-balanced, and does not cause any type of hand pain at all when used. This opener is reliable and doesn’t quit like other cheaply built can openers made in China often do. One of the most notorious things about can openers is that they will work great as new, but after a few months of use it begins to bind and doesn’t cut as well. You won’t have that problem with this Rosle product.

Made in Germany from 18/10 stainless steel, you are getting a finely crafted Rosle can opener you can depend on. Plus, if you do have any type of trouble you are also given a lifetime warranty too. While the Rosle can opener looks like it costs a pretty penny, and it isn’t the cheapest can opener either, it is well worth the price tag to have such an elegant and tough tool.
